Strategic Plan 2024-2027

In June 2024, MACU embarked on a transformative journey by launching a three-year Strategic Plan titled “The Place to Be.” This roadmap, crafted from the essence of our
vision, mission, and the collective wisdom of the MACU community, sets forth a bold agenda for enduring change. Rooted in our cherished history yet forward-looking in its
approach, the Strategic Plan is designed to inspire simple, scalable, and sustainable changes to firmly secure our future. With this plan, MACU is poised to become “The
Place to Be” for future generations of students, faculty, and staff.

Through innovative programs, cutting-edge technologies, and dynamic opportunities for personal and professional growth, “The Place to Be” Strategic Plan will rejuvenate our community toward our shared vision of “preparing people to do great things for God and His Kingdom.” The plan is intentionally concise yet comprehensive in scope. It
embodies our commitment to adaptability and responsiveness, enabling us to remain agile in addressing the evolving needs of our students and the community. While some initiatives in this plan will undoubtedly come to fruition, others may evolve or give way to new opportunities. The plan is a compass guiding us forward as we willingly navigate change to achieve the highest good for the betterment of our students, employees, and society at large, all for the Glory of God.

We are excited to introduce our new 2024-2027 strategic plan, a roadmap designed to guide our organization toward a future of growth, innovation, and success. This plan reflects our mission and desire to continue to better serve our students, staff, faculty, and more.

Through a collaborative effort, we have identified key priorities and developed actionable strategies that align with our core values and long-term vision. Our new strategic plan will not only enhance our operational efficiency and stewardship, but also empower our University to achieve new heights of performance and delivery.

We look forward to embarking on this journey together, confident that our collective efforts will drive us toward achieving our goals and fulfilling our mission, to do greater things for the glory of God and His kingdom.

Objectives and Key Results

MACU will implement the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) framework for the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. This comprehensive document reflects the University’s
Strategic Objectives, quantifiable Key Results, and potential University focus projects associated with each Key Result. It is important to note that these focus projects are adaptable and subject to modification throughout the plan’s duration. They are illustrative examples of the University’s strategies for attaining each stated OKR.

The OKR methodology underscores a culture of collaboration and accountability to achieve tangible outcomes. To foster alignment and concerted action in pursuit of the
strategic OKRs, departments and academic units, herein referred to as Strategic Planning Units (SPUs), will collectively set quarterly OKRs supporting the Strategic
Objectives. This quarterly cadence allows SPUs to focus on those activities crucial to attaining the strategic objectives by optimizing organizational focus and effectiveness.

Objective #1

We will humbly CREATE transformative opportunities for the holistic growth (Luke 2:52) of students, faculty, staff, alums, and our community from a Christ-centered, biblical worldview, and Wesleyan perspective.

  • Key Result 1.A. – Wisdom – fostering spiritual, academic, and intellectual growth focusing on content-specific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Key Result 1.B. – Stature – emphasizing personal growth by focusing on physical and mental health.
  • Key Result 1.C. – Favor with God – increasing spiritual growth, focusing on meeting people where they are in their faith journeys through chapel worship, discipleship, and community service.
  • Key Result 1.D. – Favor with man – enhancing interpersonal growth by focusing on durable skills.

We will joyfully COLLABORATE to align our organizational structures, facilities, and resources effectively and efficiently to achieve sustainability and future expansion.
