Mid-America Christian University is delighted to announce the formation of the Gaulke Circle, a planned giving society that honors and celebrates those who will make a lasting impact on the mission of MACU through their thoughtful and generous legacy gifts. It is named in honor of Max and Isabelle Gaulke, whose lives of vision and service were instrumental in our founding in 1953.

What is Planned Giving?

A planned gift is any gift that comes as part of an estate plan, such as charitable trusts, bequests, life insurance policies, and gifts of property, that help fulfill your financial and charitable giving goals. Planned giving can allow you to make a significant impact on the future of MACU, often making it possible for you to make your largest gift ever.

Benefits of Joining the Gaulke Circle

Members of the Gaulke Circle will enjoy a range of exclusive benefits as a token of our gratitude:

• Recognition: Unless you want to remain anonymous, your name will be proudly displayed on our Gaulke Circle Honor Roll, acknowledging your commitment to MACU.
• Invitations to Special Events: You will receive invitations to exclusive events, including our annual Gaulke Circle Luncheon, where you can meet other friends of MACU and learn more about planned giving opportunities.
• Updates and Reports: You will receive regular updates and reports on how your gift is making a difference.

Making a Planned Gift

Creating a planned gift is easier than you might think. Here are some common ways to make a planned gift:

• Bequests: Include a gift to our organization in your will or trust.
• Retirement Plans: Designate our organization as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.
• Life Insurance: Name our organization as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
• Charitable Trusts: Establish a trust that benefits both your loved ones and MACU.

There are two ways to join the Gaulke Circle:

• Inform the Office of University Advancement of your existing plan to include MACU in your estate
• Contact us to help connect you with professional and legal advisors who can assist you in setting up a new estate plan for MACU.
