Director of Nursing Education
Dr. Saundra Medrano is a passionate Christian leader and educator with 25 years of experience in nursing, specializing in medical-surgical nursing and transplant ICU. Guided by her faith, she serves as a professor and Director of Nursing at Mid-America Christian University (MACU), where she emphasizes a Christ-centered approach to nursing education, seeing the profession as a calling from God.
Dr. Medrano holds a PhD in Nursing, is a Certified Nurse Educator, and a Registered Nurse. She has previously held numerous leadership positions in nursing. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Medrano is a devoted wife and mother of three, living on a small farm with her family and a variety of animals, including a horse, chickens, dogs, and neighborhood cats.
