Assistant Professor: School of Business Leadership
“Stay close to your faith, seek guidance from your mentors, and enjoy the journey, trusting that God has a plan for you!“
Laura Koch started her education journey earning bachelor degrees in both Marketing and Public Relations from Oklahoma State University. She went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has worked for several companies, including Windsor Group Insurance Company and West Business Services under the AT&T contract. For most of her corporate career she was a Trainer and then a Training Manager. She was called to Christian higher education in 2012 and has served in several positions for a Title III grant as well as a full-time faculty member. Most recently she has taken on the responsibility of the Program Director for Management and Ethics. She enjoys being in the classroom (whether online or in-person) and giving students a Christian perspective to problem-solving. She hopes that students leave her class with a toolkit of tools that can be applied to real-world situations.
Laura is married to her best friend Ricky. She has two daughters and a Maltipoo that runs the house! Her oldest daughter just graduated from college and is looking forward to her next chapter. Her youngest daughter just graduated from high school and will be heading to Oklahoma State University in the fall. She enjoys traveling – one of her goals is to visit all 50 states. She is also part of a group of college friends that travel to a new destination each year (and have been doing so since they all graduated from college!). In addition to traveling, she enjoys shopping, church activities, reading, and just hanging out with her friends and family.
