Dr. Tamara Dawson is serving as the Chair of the School of Business Leadership. She has worked in higher education since 2001 gaining extensive experience in curriculum development, program design, and learning assessment. She has an undergraduate degree in Marketing, a graduate degree in Management, and a Doctor of Education with emphasis in online learning and adult education. Dr. Dawson serves as a peer reviewer and team chair for the Higher Learning Commission and an evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. She enjoys the opportunity of teaching business from a Biblical worldview. to the next generation of leaders.
Dr. Dawson and her husband have two adult children, Zachary and Madeline. Zachary is an assistant professor of Biblical Studies, and Madeline is a senior in nursing school. They also have two precious grandchildren, Eli and Evelyn. Outside the classroom, Dr. Dawson enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and decorating for the holidays. She and her husband hope to visit all 50 states and as many beach destinations as possible. Dr. Dawson loves animals and is actively involved with the Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue as a foster and trainer.
