Why Enroll in a Nursing Degree Program?
A nursing degree is a stepping stone toward a lifelong career of service, compassion, and leadership in the medical field. Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system, providing critical services in hospitals, clinics, schools, and community organizations.
A degree in nursing can equip you with the medical knowledge, clinical skills, and hands-on experience required to deliver exceptional care. It can also open doors to nonclinical roles in management, education, research, and policy. Earning a pre-nursing degree establishes a strong academic foundation in helping people, while an AAS in Nursing prepares you for licensure to qualify for registered nurse roles. Completing the RN to BSN program shows employers that you have the nursing education and clinical skills to thrive in various healthcare environments.
What Can You Do With a Degree in Nursing?
The demand for nurses continues to increase, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projecting employment throughout healthcare occupations to grow far faster than the average for all occupations. Graduates with degrees in nursing are prepared to step into a wide variety of career paths with competitive salaries.
