Mid-America Christian University is looking to help local teachers and parents during the COVID-19 crisis through its ONE Community initiative, which offers free tutoring and reading services to elementary schoolers who are adapting to an at-home learning environment.
For children who are struggling to learn while being away from their teachers, MACU students, faculty and staff members are volunteering time to provide online tutoring for Oklahoma children.
Parents can sign their children up for 30-minute, no-cost tutoring sessions at the following link: https://macu.wufoo.com/forms/online-tutoring/.
MACU recently launched ONE Community to benefit the Oklahoma metro during the COVID-19 crisis. Other offerings have included free webinars, opportunities for MACU students to read to local school children via video and free treat packages in conjunction with Belle Kitchen in Oklahoma City.
