The Guaranteed Interview Program guarantees that MACU students who meet specified criteria in this Agreement will be invited for an interview with the Admissions Committee for admission to the OSU-CHS College of Osteopathic Medicine.
OSU-CHS will interview and assess the Gl Program applicants on their personal characteristics, academic preparedness, and other factors based on the same standards as traditional applicants.
Eligibility requirements for applicants to the Gl Program:
- Be a permanent resident of the United States;
- Achieve a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA);
- Score a minimum of 502 on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) at the time of application;
- Complete the courses and meet the academic requirements Attachment 1;
- Courses are strongly encouraged to be taken at the Mid-America Christian University, except those earned as concurrent enrollment during high school and AP credits;
- Complete a baccalaureate degree before matriculation at OSU-CHS College of Osteopathic Medicine;
- Submit an American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Services (AACOMAS) application by February 28;
- Submit a supplemental/secondary application by March 30;
- Complete at least 500 hours in a health-related setting at the time of application;
- Be a first-time applicant to apply to the Guaranteed Interview Program
- Students must check the appropriate box on their secondary/supplemental application to indicate they are applying through the Gl Program. This Agreement guarantees an interview for admission to OSU-CHS College of Osteopathic Medicine to students from MACU who meet the listed requirements. This Agreement does not guarantee qualifying students from MACU admission to the OSU-CHS College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Following an in-person interview, a member of the Admissions Committee or Director of Admissions will notify applicants of their decision by May 1, 2025, following the applicant’s interview. The applicant will either be granted admission or will be invited to apply as a traditional applicant in a later application cycle.
OSU-CHS College of Osteopathic Medicine will either accept the applicant for admission or invite the applicant to apply as a traditional applicant in a later application cycle. Applicants may apply as a Guaranteed Interview applicant during their final year at MACU or within six months following graduation. Applicants may only qualify for the Gl program for one application cycle. OSU-CHS may revoke admissions to the Gl Program to any student with student conduct, Title IX, or similar violations.
