MACU Junior Named NCCAA Regional Player of the Year

Congratulations to 
Mid-America Christian University junior midfielder Raphael Bonelle!




This past Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Bonelle was named the NCCAA Central Regional Player of the Year along with a first-team NCCAA All-Central Region honor.  

 Later that same day, the native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, was named first-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tires All-Southwest region selection, the organization announced today (Dec. 10).

Bonelle broke his own school single-season record with 15 goals this season and also delivered a team-high eight assists. Five of Bonelle's goals were game-winning scores.  He also tied for first in the Sooner Athletic Conference in goals per game (0.89) and tied for second in the SAC in points per game (2.1). 

Bonelle led the Evangels to their third NCCAA Central Regional title this year and a berth in the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla.
