Spiritual Empasis Week
One of the Mid-America Christian University (MACU) fall term highlights is upon us again—Spiritual Emphasis Week 2013, September 23-27. Our speaker is Rev. Michael J. Thigpen, MACU Director of Learning Partnerships.
Rev. Thigpen is the lead pastor of Celebration Church at Arrow Heights, in Anderson, Indiana. A visionary and leader, Michael has served the body of Christ for almost 20 years in a variety of ministry roles, and at both national and international levels. Michael is a graduate of MACU sister school, Anderson University, and has a degree in organizational leadership.
MACU Spiritual Emphasis week gatherings are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in the University Chapel, Monday-Thursday. Faculty, staff, and students of the MACU north location, and area alumni, are invited to join main campus participants.
If you cannot attend, we invite you to go to www.MACU.edu/watch and watch Spiritual Emphasis week messages live online. Later the same day, recorded broadcasts are also available for your viewing.
A special highlight of Spiritual Emphasis week will take place Thursday, September 26th. All members of the community are invited to participate in the pre-dedication event of Kennedy Hall when we gather to “Write a Blessing” on the floor of the new facility. Join us on the north side parking lot of the new building from 2:30-330 p.m. Markers will be available! Bring your favorite scripture verse or a word of encouragement for current and future faculty, staff, and students who will occupy Kennedy Hall. Once our blessings are written, carpeting of the facility will begin—and your blessings will remain part of the foundation for years to come!
Spiritual Emphasis week culminate officially with traditional, on-campus students meeting in their ECHO small groups Friday morning at 10:00a.m.
